Operation – Using the Control Panel
Setting the Temperature
1. Press the ‘UP’ or ‘DOWN’ buttons to set the temperature you desire.
2. The display window will show the temperature you set as you press the ‘UP’ or
‘DOWN’ buttons. Otherwise, it will always show the ambient temperature.
The default temperature of this machine is: 75
o
F for cooling.
Note: Temperature control only works in cooling and heating modes.
Note:
The temperature range for the heating function is 45 to 77
o
F. The temperature range
for the cool function is 62 to 90
o
F. For temperatures outside these ranges, the unit may not
work properly.
Setting the Fan Speed
1. Press the ‘SPEED’ button to toggle between high or low. The high or low indicator
will light on.
2. If the unit is in ‘AUTO’ mode, it will choose the fan speed automatically according to
the ambient temperature (the related indicators will light up). While in ‘AUTO’ mode,
pressing the ‘SPEED’ button will have no effect.
Setting the Timer to Automatically Shut Off the Unit
While the machine is running, press the ‘TIMER’ button to set the number of hours
you want to wait for the machine to shut off automatically. You are able to set the
time between 1 to 24 hours by continuing to press the ‘TIMER’ button. The timer
indicator will light up. When the time set has elapsed, the machine will turn off
automatically. The display window will show the hour(s) you set as you press the
‘TIMER’ button. If the timer is not engaged, the unit will work continuously.
Setting the Timer to Automatically Power-On the Unit
While the machine is turned off, you can set the machine to power on by pressing
the ‘Timer’ button, and setting the desired time. For example, if you set the timer to
‘2’, the unit will automatically turn on after 2 hours.
Note: You can also select which mode you would like the unit to start in while you
set the timer.
Sleep Mode
1. While in cooling mode, pressing the ‘SLEEP’ button will increase the set
temperature 1
o
F each hour for a maximum of two hours.
2. While in heating mode, pressing the ‘SLEEP’ button will decrease the set
temperature by 1
o
F each hour for a maximum of two hours.
